Kyle Stinnett: Dangerous Man of God

(Kyle Stinnett - Brasov, Romania)

This upcoming December, Kyle Stinnett and a currently unknown companion, will be venturing throughout the United States of America to find the true heart of the American Christian. "It will be another adventure of a lifetime as we listen to God and ask Him where He wants us to go and who He wants us to encounter." says Kyle, who felt like God was calling him to do this while in Thailand in September of 2013.

Kyle Stinnett is currently a 21 year old (soon to be 22) man of God who first decided to follow Jesus in January of 2011. "When my girlfriend broke up with me before Christmas in 2010 I was a mess and desperate to find that special someone to fill the hole that was in my heart. I started going to Churches soon after in an attempt to find a 'good Christian girl' and instead found the love of my life: Jesus." (To read more of Kyle's story click here.)

(Kyle's community in Hendersonville, NC)

After accepting his call to follow Jesus wherever he felt lead, Kyle started digging into his community in Hendersonville, NC. Over the course of two years God transformed Kyle into the man of God that he is today. "It was a quick transition, but after reading the book of Matthew, I knew it was something that I had to and wanted to do. Jesus calls us to "Turn to God and change the way you think and act for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." - Matthew 4:17. I never was necessarily scared of going to hell, but rather I knew that there was something more to this life and I was hungry to chase after it."

(Team Ampersand - last 3 month of the World Race

In January of 2013, Kyle embarked on a trip called the World Race with 60 strangers to go and love the nations. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip that goes to 11 countries. (Click here to see Kyle's blogs on the world race.) This month (October 2013) Kyle is on his 10th month of the race in Phnom Phen, Cambodia working with Hope Transitions Ministry. Nearing the end of his trip this is what Kyle has to say about his time on the World Race, "The race has brought so much growth to me and I have really learned how to love well and live in community, which is something I personally believe we were made for. It has opened my eyes to the world and has forever changed my view on everything. There's no going back to my old life style now!"

(Kyle on the rock at El Shaddai Orphanage)

Kyle's plan is to follow God's heart that he hopes will continue to lead him to El Shaddai Orphanage in Swaziland. "When I was in month 8 on my race in Swaziland, I felt like God was telling me to go to the Bethel School of Ministry for one year and learn how to be bold and not hold back the Kingdom of God because of my own fears. Later that month I got a word from Charmain, the amazing woman of God who started the orphanage at El Shaddai. Charmain told me that she felt like God told her that I would be back to El Shaddai, but she wasn't sure how long. I took that word back to God and got a very strong response. I'm suppose to go back to El Shaddai and raise up a generation of Orphans who will change that country and turn it into a nation who is passionate for the Kingdom of Heaven." Kyle noted that he realized that these were some pretty strong words and that he is constantly asking God where he needs to go to expand the Kingdom. "My hands are always open and I'm willing to give up any word or gift that God has given me if it bring glory to my Daddy in Heaven."
